Vision & Values

A multiethnic, multigenerational mission-shaped community

Our vision

The Vision of Transformation Church is to be a multiethnic, multigenerational mission-shaped community that loves God completely (Upward), our neighbors compassionately (Outward) and ourselves correctly (Inward). The vision of Transformation Church is birthed out of the very heart of Jesus.

At transformation CHURCH, you can expect to find a community of people who are graciously passionate about Jesus and Love People sincerely. We want to follow in Jesus’ call to Love the Nations. We do this by (making disciples who look like Jesus, who make disciples who look like JESUS and planting Churches equipped to plant other Churches where there are no Churches.

One of the reasons Transformation Church (and hopeful future Transformation family of churches and ministries) exist is to help build a great society for all people through a movement of the gospel that brings personal conversion, transformation of individuals and families for CHRIST, community formation, protect the wellbeing of all especially the minority and marginalized society, enhance the flourishing of all people to be all GOD in CHRIST JESUS made and wants them to be, and hopefully a renewal of the culture in Belgium and, through it, the world.

In Transformation Church’s vision, “multiethnic, multigenerational, mission-shaped community” is from the Great Commission and “love God completely (Upward), our neighbors compassionately (Outward and ourselves correctly (Inward), is from the Great Commandment.

The Great Commandment

He (Jesus) said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.” Matthew 22:37–40 CSB

The Great Commission

Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18–20 CSB. At transformation Church, we follow in Jesus’ call to make disciples of Jesus who make disciples of Jesus

Our values

A High & Lofty View of God

Through the Spirit’s enabling power, we are committed to teaching a high and lofty view of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Our view of God will drive all our actions, teaching, prayer, mission, and spiritual transformation.

The Transformative Gospel of Grace

Through the Spirit’s enabling power, we are committed to being a community that invites and seeks out the wounded, the brokenhearted, and the marginalized so that they can be transformed by the Gospel of Grace into the image of Jesus, joining Him on His mission to transform the world.
Through the Spirit’s enabling power, we are committed to the belief that Grace is Jesus Himself coming to live in and through His people. Life in the Kingdom is empowered by the King of Kings, not human effort.

Making Disciples Who Make Disciples and Planting Churches That Plant Churches

Our prayer and hope at TC is that we will be able to, through the Spirit’s enabling power, make disciples who make disciples and plant churches where there are no Churches. This was the Master’s command, Matt. 28:19,20. Disciples are made, not born. The master’s master strategy was the prayerful selection and concentration upon a few people who could become fishers of men and lead others. He poured himself into these people, delegated, supervised, and empowered them (Matt. 4:19; Mk. 3:14,15; Acts 1:8; 4:13). Multiplication and reproduction must replace ordinary addition, 2 Tim. 2:2. We believe that believers who are schooled in the foundations, growth and maturity in the Christian life are the most fruitful, stable, and strategic people for expanding the work of the kingdom. At TC, we are committed to, through the Spirit’s enabling power and our partnership with Christlike Disciplemakers Movement being at the forefront of best biblical practices in disciple making.

Finishing The Task of World Evangelism

One of our greatest passions at TC is to finish the task of the Great Commission. Our Lord Jesus commanded us to preach the gospel to all creation and make disciples of those that respond to the good news, Mk. 16:15,16; Matt. 24:14; 28:19,20; Acts 17:30,31. God is not willing that any should perish, 2 Pet. 3:9. The blood of Jesus covered the sin of all mankind, Jn. 1:29. At TC, we are committed to actively proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus as witnesses of his resurrection and transformative power until all have heard.

Gift Discovery, Development & Use

The aim of this is to fulfil God’s call. We believe that every person is God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand that we should walk in, Eph. 2:10; Jer. 1:5. At TC we are committed through the Spirit’s enabling power to help people discover their purpose and bring their uniqueness to benefit God and man. Spiritual gifts from God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, potentials, talents, and endowments must be unearthed. All must be helped to achieve their highest and best in God, Prov. 22:29; 2 Tim. 1:6; 1 Tim. 4:14. We believe that God has a special and unique call upon each life that only our individual response can fulfil and through which we can find fulfilment.

Jesus In the Marketplace

One of the passions of TC is the priesthood of every believer in the workplace, 1 Pet. 2:4,9; Rev. 1:6. Most of our working lives are not spent in church but at home, work, school, marketplace and in the neighborhood. We can never be salt of the earth and light of the world if the average Christian is not trained to see himself/herself as Christ’s ambassador wherever God has placed him/her, Matt. 5:13-16; 2 Cor. 5:20. Our school/workplace must become our pulpit. Every resource, promotion and salary must be seen as God’s provision for fulfilling our ministry, Col. 4:17; Prov. 10:16. TC is committed through the Spirit’s enabling power to teach, train, and coach all our members for discipling, planting cells and churches in homes, schools, workplaces and neighborhoods, Acts 8:1-4. We believe effective tentmaking cross-cultural missionaries can only come from existing tentmaking church members.

Kingdom Partnerships

Through the Spirit’s enabling power, we are committed to partnering with other churches and para-Church ministries that desire to advance the Kingdom. We will not compete with other churches.

Multiethnic & Multigenerational Diversity

Through the Spirit’s enabling power, we are committed to multiethnic and multigenerational diversity.

Excellence

Through the Spirit’s enabling power, we are committed to ministry excellence. Ministry excellence is worship! Our systems and structures must function excellently to steward the people of Transformation Church.

Leadership Development

Through the Spirit’s enabling power, we are committed to leadership development. The Church rises or falls on the shoulders of Her leaders; therefore, every member must be seen as a “royal priest” and a leader. Taking into account their unique gifts and calling from God.

People Over Production

By the Spirit’s enabling power, we are committed to valuing people for more than what they can produce. We will not prostitute people over and against their spiritual health and transformation.

Servant Community

We are committed, by the Spirit’s enabling power, to develop a biblical, servant-hearted community, in which we serve each other through our grace-gifts as we serve in our spheres of influence by being the heart, hands, and feet of Jesus.

Relevancy

By the Spirit’s enabling power, we are committed to being a missionary community. Therefore, we’ll communicate the timeless truths of God’s Word in a way that displays the relevant nature of the Gospel to address contemporary issues.

Celebration

By the Spirit’s enabling power, we are committed to celebrating the people, actions, behaviors, decisions, and things we like. If we like it, we celebrate it to the glory of our great and good God.

Generosity

By the Spirit’s enabling power, we are committed to financial generosity. We cannot outgive our God; therefore, we will teach and live biblical financial stewardship. One day we hope to give away 30% of our income.
